Jimi Tents Gets Personal With His New LP 'I Can't Go Home'

May 26, 2017

Jimi Tents is undoubtedly one of New York's most promising rising stars in Hip Hop. Word has been spreading quickly about the Brooklyn native since his debut EP '5 O'Clock Shadow'. Now he has released his newest LP 'I Can't Go Home' and it proves that the hype is well deserved.

Jimi Tents gives us his most vulnerable work yet, allowing us to dive deeper into his mind. The title 'I Can't Go Home' explains the idea that Brooklyn, the place where he grew up, will never be the same as it once was due to gentrification. In the album, Tents also touches on topics such as big dreams, being trapped in the day to day struggle, success, self reflection, and losing loved ones. The project features production from TheVamp, Rico Beats, Crystal Caines, and Calez, along with artist features from Saba, Ro James, and Saidbysed. If you still don't know who Jimi Tents is, get familiar because you will be seeing a lot of him in the future.
